Leaving Escondido RV Resort (Sunland Resorts - same company as Golden Palms in Hemet)

A couple tight curves and a narrow, steep hill and we are off on I-15 to Hemet.

Just an hour away, we are settled in at our sight by 10:30 am.   A nice, short travel day and dry roads.

Saying goodbye to one of our regular routes to Castle Creek (San Luis Golf Course) and Melba Bishop Community Centre for Pickleball.

Arrived at Golden Village Palms RV Resort (1200 sites and about 700 Canadians- mostly Alberta/B.C.).   In about ten days there will be a mass exodus from the park as the Canadians head back home.

Now in an area with all the amenities (in the RV Resort):  gym, music, zumba, water volleyball, beach volleyball, evening entertainment and mega potlucks & happy hours. 

And one of Marc's favorites ---- the hot tubs!

Hard to believe, this is our fifth March here!   So, nice to know some people when we come to a 'new' spot in town.   We were welcomed when we first arrived so it has a 'back home' feel almost.   

And .  .   now . . ..  there are four new pickleball courts.   We are 'right' next door!   And it is great as we do not hear anything.   Granted, we have not been here when it was super, super busy and on Saturdays when they held fun matches BUT, can honestly say we are up when they start and don't hear it when indoors with the television on. . . . most daytimes we are not around.

After meeting someone in the park who had previously spoken with Prem Carnot (trainer we met in Oceanside) and was set to drive there for a lesson, he was told we were coming and next thing you know - Prem is coming up to Hemet next week to teach us and two other groups of people in differing levels of play.

The huge field just a few minutes walking behind the RV Park has dried up and all the birds are gone; garbage is being dumped - very sad.   Last March there were several ponds and tons of different birds.   Still a great walking area and there are trails up to the hill tops.

There will be no going up to the mountains on the trails with the dogs & tons of rock ---- a 'perfect' place for snakes!   And it has been 30 C (90's F) this past couple of days and all through this week, so they will be coming out of hibernation!

Redhawk Golf Club, Temecula

Golfed the course (in a warm 30C) but with a cart and a slight breeze, it was great and a fabulous course.   Been a year since I have golfed; Marc played with myself and another woman from Michigan off the reds and whites.

A tough lie - but he manages to Par the entire front nine!

Did I mention, I did well!?   Considering it's been a year?  Lost only one ball (bounced off a rock and into the pond).   When I play regularly, my 3 iron 'sucks' for me - usually pound it into the dirt.   Today - my favorite club!   (#@)$#*%)

A beautiful and hilly golf course with very difficult greens (some are multi-tiered).

Dogs are quite happy - they have a couple of areas for free running and have a place to practise agility once a week (just minutes away).   Its not great for space and the ground as I have to check where the gophers have left holes & fill them in.  Dogs were so happy and now we just need to get them acclimatized to 30c!
