Left Bakersfield Friday; a full seven hour day and we arrived at Corning (Rolling Hills Casino RV Park) at 3 pm. Big temperature change from Bakersfield the day before. From about 21 C (70 F) to 13 C (55 F) and windy.

Leaving Corning for the mountain day trekk: up the Anderson Pass, Grants Pass and Siskyou was uneventful (no snow; however, a storm is supposedly blowing in and there could be snow the day after we pull out of Corning).
As soon as we hit the Siskyou (4,000 ft elevation) the rain started . . . .
Arrived at 4 pm in Eugene, Oregon. LUCKY we found a site on Saturday night at Armitage RV Park 5 miles north of Eugene. All sites were reserved for the entire weekend BUT due to the pouring rain, someone in the big pull through pulled out and we got a spot. POURED and windy but fishing in the adjacent McKenzie River must be good as the banks were lined with fly fishers.
A pitstop at a local reststop near Eugene - gorgeous wild spring flowers everywhere and lots of moss covered trees. Back in the land of green.
We're on our way home and have to admit, its been 3 1/2 months since we put on long pants!
Eugene and another six hour day, we end up in Tulalip. Weren't certain how the Seattle traffic would fare as they have three lanes closed right now on the I-5 BUT we were travelling on Sunday and the 405 was fine - just a short backup getting off I-5 to the on ramp but all-in-all, smooth sailing.
Spending the night free at the Tulalip casino. Walked through the casino to short cut our walk over to Cabela's and then Bob's Burgers. Not difficult to understand why we don't like to gamble. . . . the smoking is choking. It is super busy and almost everyone smokes in the large casino.
The Outlet Mall (called the Seattle Outlet stores) is almost completed and the stores were bustling with business - parking lots full. All this within walking distance of the RV Park. Fortunately, no shopping for us after four tiring days PLUS we have our share of Skechers and Jockey supplies now - no more room! We got our deals at the Skechers factory store in Hemet - set for the year now. My favorite shoe now is the Trail Runner.
Well, using the generator for another hour, walking the dogs for the night in the rain (they are not impressed - ears flat) but have to say they have seen super good on our four day trekk with short walks.
Off through the Nexus Lane at Peace Arch in the morning and ferry sometime around 10:30 hopefully. Seal Bay RV Park is ready for us.
