Well we are finally getting ready for another trip so Marc will make the first post . With the best intentions we are heading across the northern U.S and then ending up in P.E.I. for the summer. Covid seems to have settled a bit , but now we have 400 dollars a tank in the truck and WW III which very much seems to be a reality affecting pretty much every country on the planet in some shape or form. If its all too much we will bail and work our way back home.
This trip will be a different itinerary as we have downsized to the Outdoors RV 20 BD 20 Foot Backcountry trailer . This trailer is getting re-modified to be off grid and we will not be staying at the usual resorts and pickleball communities. Instead we will stay at State, Provincial, and forest service campgrounds and hopefully get Bev close to some areas where she can snap some good wildlife Photos. If we make P.E.I we will stay at the same campground as last time as options are fairly limited there.
Here are some of the Modifications Marc has been working on on the new trailer. Managed to do all the work myself so that saved a ton of cash and lo and behold on running everything through its paces it all works as planned.
It holds 100 gallons of water so no need to change anything there.
Trailer has a 3.6 kw generator built in that runs on propane and carries 80 lbs. propane
The first thing was to add 2 more 160 watt solar panels for a total of 490 Watts.
