We spent a couple of days in Grass Valley, staying at the Holiday Inn Express - Nice Hotel. Something we don't find back home (especially for under $100/night) is a full buffet breakfast (free), cookies baked daily in house and provided throughout the day with juices and get this --- every day for two hours there is 'Happy Hour' - free of charge, all kinds of cocktails, beer, wine, pop, juice - whatever - FREE! And, for those that like to indulge, they can take a tray of beverages up to their room.

Towing package installation was the last step before driving it for the first time!

So, two days were spent hanging out at DeMartini's - getting final touches done and getting some things worked out before leaving. We also needed some time to figure out all the switches - everything is powered & I mean everything. A driver drove Marc and the big rig up to Reno and back to complete the next step in the paperwork process. He was glad they had someone to drive it so he could learn some of the ropes, PLUS Marc had a horrible flu through the night and was feeling rather dragged out to be concentrating on that winding road up thru Truckee.

So, here is our 2005 Country Coach Affinity 730, 45' diesel pusher. It has a 525 HP Caterpillar engine, tag axle, 3 air conditioners, four slides, everything is powered - including the blinds, no propane. Some of the luxurious features include solid steel frame, solid maple cabinetry, granite countertops, heated tile flooring, stacking washer/dryer, residential fridge with icemaker (gotta have that when you're roughing it!), two 32" televisions and something we like is the computer desk. Not to get too spoiled, we will be keeping our tent (for those few occasions when we might want to go somewhere a little remote - kayaking).
