After a few very long days (trying to beat a snowfall report for the Siskyou pass), we drove from Chowchilla to Eugene, spent the night and then drove from Eugene, Oregon to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal.   Spent the night at the terminal, to get up at 4:00 am, move into the terminal and catch the 5:15 ferry.  Amazing how many cars, trucks, campers were lined up behind up at 4:00 to catch the ferry.   It is Easter weekend.

Uneventful, 12 hour days, other than long and crossing the border the Nexus way (just paperwork handed in and a swipe of the card) we went through within two minutes.   The difficulty is, they just opened the brand new Nexus lane.  .  .   it is so narrow that the tires were rubbing and Marc had maneuver between a barrier on the driver's side and watching the signs on the right so they didn't take out the mirror.

Getting from hwy 99 onto the turn off for the Ferry was another story.   Signs posted about construction about 2 km behind the turn off.   It is about 5 pm on thursday - no construction crew in sight, no construction activity - just an hour long event, getting through bumper to bumper traffic.

It feels rather chilly after having sunny 23+ days.   Had a gorgeous sunny, Easter Friday yesterday in Comox but has quickly turned to forcasts of cool 8 c and rain showers off & on.  

Dogs are happy - trails, freedom, no cactus and will be going back to 'school' soon - - let the games begin!
