After a day's delay at Torrey Pines, the Farmers Insurance Open Pro Golf tournament carried on into Monday for 10 holes.   The Country Club provided "free" entrance for all public!!! Yes, free!

So, off we went to meet the hoards to watch the likes of Brandt Snedeker, Josh Teater, Ricky Fowler (in his bright orange),  Phil Mickelson, Mike Weir.   Oh, and yes, Tiger Woods!

Previous days food, water and cameras have not been allowed at all.   This day, everything except cameras are allowed.   Fortunately, we found all this out prior to leaving from a fellow RVer that informed me I can not take my 300 zoom lens.  And indeed, they had a booth where fellow photographers had to leave their cameras and lenses  behind.

We were informed by a local who went everyday since Wed, that the bleachers at hole 17 was the place to hang out, rather than try to see what is going on by following one pro player.   The course is quite flat around the fairways and when you have 20 - lines deep of people watching Tiger, you're only going to see from his shoulders up.

So, this is our view from the bleachers on hole 17 (CBS sports booth poised for action).

The leader board changed frequently with a tie for 2nd place at 10 under for several holes, then things changed.  Tiger was ahead with 17 under and by hole 14th, a bogey and double bogey on 17 (the only hole we saw him play) he was five ahead and Snedeker and Teater tied for 2nd.

The greens on hole 17 were extremely challenging - we saw only Fritsch birdie the hole with an awesome putt out of all the groups.

Interesting --- several people using their iphones & taking photos 'until' Tiger was on the tee - then the volunteers were FULL ON - and stopping all cameras as much and as fast as they could.  None of the other players had a following like Tiger!

Backtracking - went on a little side trek to Encinitas (the day Torrey Pines was socked in with thick fog).   A quaint little surfer town - Whole Foods is in an old multi-level complex - an unusual setting for the popular grocery with incredible produce and  eatery; deli, hot prepared foods, fresh salads, freshly made pizzas and bakery.

Daley Ranch

A 3,058 acre park with over 25 miles of multipurpose trails for hiking, mt biking and horseback riding.   The city of Escondido purchased the land in January 1997.

An English immigrant (Robert Daley) settled into the Valley in 1869 and built a small log cabin.  

After acquiring two 1,600 acre parcels of land he built a small pine house which still stands across from the existing Daley ranch house.   The Daley family ranch was a dairy farm and they also raised horses.

Dogs enjoyed the walking loop (from parking lot to Ranch House and back, approx 6.5 miles).

Have yet to check out the vast trails and mt bike treks - sounds like alot of ups and down and criss -crossing so a map is a must and take water.

Have not found an outdoor agility facility but enjoying this field with a few of our own obstacles.

Has taken some time to find areas to run the kelpies (alot of restrictions).  Daley Ranch is great (dogs on leash) as it is total wilderness; people have seen bobcat, mt lions, coyotes and of course, snakes.   

A bit of a worry with the dogs and keep them very close & make noise.

Meadow Lakes Golf Course

Well, watching Tiger live must've thrown Marc off his game ..... awhile back, in the frost and frozen fairways, he shot a 72 on this course.   Today. well .....  pretty much stopped adding after 85!   Super slow game at five hours but still, a tough and challenging, tight course.
