Scenery & Wildlife in Northern B.C.

The terrain is different from that of the coast where we now live (Bev grew up in Northern British Columbia). Although it was a difficult time for everyone, we did enjoy spending time with family and getting to know Bob's friends and caregivers.

We saw various wildlife such as beaver, moose, deer, bear and coyotes, some of which walked right past the patio doors of Bob's house. The fox is a frequent flyer at Bev's parents home and is now sharing some down home cooking with her three young ones.
The scenery is spectacular and it is magnificent to see the wildlife (we didn't get to see some other species that frequent the area such as Grizzly Bears and Wolves). This is an area known for incredible fishing, (thus the name `Lakes District` - steelhead, char, trout, salmon) and hunting. Winter sports include skiing, snowmobiling and ice sports such as skating and hockey.....of course, the occasional `snow plowing.`
