Nov 23

One of our shortest travel days, we drove 15 miles to Hemet and were set up in the sun by 9:30 am and temperatures reaching 18 c so far. After driving along flat, desert land the entrance to Golden Palms RV is lush with Zahati palms, manicured lawns, flowering shrubs, roses and fruit trees. The clubhouse is immaculate with every kind of service imagineable; library, billiard rooms, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball, banquet rooms, laundry, fitness centre, putting green, three pools and three hot tubs all with varying temperatures. We are in site 1036 (total number is 1041). And some sites are decorated with flags; American, football and hockey flags (yes, there are a number of hockey fans; BC, Alberta and Sask license plates). Kylie in front of just some of the many types of cactus.

We have a ton of reading materials, with rules (only 12 pages), activity listings, businesses etc. So, we are off to check out the town & find what is in the area. The population of Hemet is approx 74,000 and we noticed when driving here that there is no shortage of restaurants.
