Well, the weather has returned back to 'normal' at 67F (19C) and at night 38F (3C). So, it does get cool at night but very quickly warms up and is dry, dry. No sign of water anywhere.
Mixed bag of geography; palm trees, sand, rock and high, snow-capped mts. The eastern mts are high and snow capped.
The western 'hills' are desert-like; there is a field that we run the dogs in but it is HUGE with gopher holes and squirrels and rabbits. There are 'mt biking' trails up beyond this ridge and in the back ... sandy trails, that climb up and over various ridges; hard packed sand & small rock, then merging into soft, loose sand (I claim this area to be like Afghanistan, from what we see on the news!).
