Another beautiful 22 C sunny day. Travelled back up to J. Simpson Park (6 miles SE of Hemet) & took Kylie for her first 'outing' since leaving home in November. She absolutely loves going with us when biking. And she is great ... will follow behind Marc when we are in strange areas but at home, she definitely has the best time being in the front & has never been in the way. In fact, she speeds up as she hears the tires going faster and faster behind her.

A fun trekk down the granite.

A gorgeous view of the San Jacinto mts with the orange groves below.

A beautiful sunset, taken from the lane across from us.
Interestingly, we found that a 500 acre parcel of land was purchased and a resort developed in the 1970s near Hemet as a base for the Church of Scientology. The property has been used as a sanctuary for stars, including Tom Cruise. Tom formed a tight bond with the most powerful Scientology leader, David Miscavige. Founded in 1954 Scientology is a religioin without a deity. It teaches "spirital release & freedom" from life's problems can be achieved through one-on-one counseling called "auditing." 2004 Tom was awarded The Freedom Medal Of Valor for his contributiion to the church. This 'resort' is totally unaccessible to the public, with hedges, high fences and surveillance with guards.
