We are just getting 'settled' into the area and gathering information on the parks and sights surrounding Mesa. Mesa is a suburb of Pheonix with a population of approx 500,000. Apache Junction & Scottsdale are all very close in proximity. Don't think there will be any shortage of things to see & do around this area.
Scenic route to Saguaro Lake and Marina along the salt river system. Tubing & kayaking are popular along this river system although the water level is extremely low currently with the Stewart Mt Dam. Horseback riding is prevelant in this Tonto National Forest as is the mt biking, hiking and there is a cycling path from town.
