Downtown Gilbert
Population of approximately 220,000. Until the 1920's this was primarily a farming community fueled by the railroad construction from Phoenix to Florence and the Roosevelt Dam. Gilbert was known as the Hay Capital of the world.
Liberty Market downtown is a trendy retail market but also has fresh salads, scratch bakery and wood-fired pizza. The brownies were to die for and about the size of a pie!

The brownies were to die for and about the size of a pie!A great park and this is Tazz's second experience with water that jumps out to get her (the first was falling in the back yard pool). Wish we had the video. She was stalking Kylie along the shore, running along on leash while Kylie chased her floating frisbee or the few sticks to be found. Kylie went flying out about 6 feet and Tazz got her puppy brain in gear (attention span of a peanut), totally forgot herself and went flying in after Kylie - only to realize her toes weren't touching bottom. She turned around at warp speed and did the 'flying' dog paddle.
At the opposite end of the huge pond, where dogs are not allowed, was this inhabitant enjoying the rays.
