Happy Thanksgiving from the U.S. (and US)

Thanksgiving tomorrow (4th Thursday of November)

We will be spending Thanksgiving with Marc's Aunt & Uncle (they're coming to stay for a couple of nights in the area, from Mesa - about two hour drive from here).   Plan is to go to Sizzlers (yahoo ..... a BUFFET!).    We were adamant we were staying away from buffets this time around (tends to plump up the stomach like a bike tube!) BUT, there is not much open on Thanksgiving as it is a huge holiday in the U.S.   The Sizzler (not sure if this is a traditional way of celebrating) manager told us the line up is over 100+ long at 10:30 a.m. for Turkey Dinner (all you can eat, turkey, ham and everything else they serve which is salad bar extravaganza, mexican, dessert) for $10.00 per person.   People pour into the restuarant until about 2 pm then the crowds peeter out.   We are planning on an evening of around 6.00 pm so she said there would be hardly anyone around!   In the U.S. she said they celebrate early then it's TV time with family - watching football.

 A great old fashioned diner with $4.50 burgers ...100% fresh made patties, salads and awesome old fashioned sodas and ice cream, including Mulberry Peach.   Burgers are traditionally under $5.00.

Tuzigoot National Monument

Tuzigoot - is just over the hill and about a fifteen minute walk from our RV site.  Built by the Sinagua Indians between 1125 - 1400 CE, this two to three stsorey pueblo home of limestone and sandstone was near the Verde River which made a fertile land to survive on.  Will officially visit the monument (a state park and museum, accessible from S. Clarkdale).
