Between Yreka & Weed - looking at gorgeous Mt Shasta
Left Corning (the olive capital of America) after spending the night in back of the Rolling Hills casino. It is very quiet, off the highway with full hookups for $20. Left at 9:00 - with approx a 6 hour drive to Chowchilla.
"Any idea when we might be pulling over?"
HEAVY air in Chowchilla (we have a weekly rate which includes two golf passes per day & an electric or gas cart if you wish). A daily pass for non RV people or non members is approx $75. Super humid and about 85 - 90 F (30-32 C). Apparently the temperature this time of year is usually in the 60's. I found it extremely difficult to deal with today & had to wrap a cold, wet towel around my neck on hole 13 in order to deal with the overheating & not ending up with heat stroke. I guess I worried the two guys we were golfing with and Marc but it all turned out fine - even with my face the color of a beet. A huge change from the 15 C (50 F) we left only one week ago. And, it is usually very windy here this time of year. . . .not so much this past couple of days.
Marc enjoying the relaxation factor
A large group of California travellers came through the past couple of days & left silently again today, with hardly anyone in the RV Park. Still, no one is enjoying the hot tub in the evenings except Marc (apparently it is too hot for most). A few people have enjoyed the cool pool today after these warm temperatures.
